Welcome to EMAS, the Equipment Management and Administration System. Using EMAS, you can conveniently sign out a variety of equipment, such as projectors, computer labs, or video cameras, from any computer in your school with a few clicks of a mouse. EMAS uses a database to keep track of all of the equipment in your school and who it has been signed out by. This means that there will no longer be a need to run around to each department to check if a particular piece of equipment is available. EMAS gives you a handy list of ALL the equipment so that you can see which ones are available and when. With EMAS, you have the capability to sign out equipment months in advance. No longer will illegible handwriting, lost/damaged papers, or multiple, confusing sign-out sheets be an issue. EMAS replaces all of that with a sturdy, stable engine, and a universal, easy to use interface that is accessible from any computer in the school.
To use EMAS, click on "Log In" on the black navigation bar at the top. If you don't have login credentials, ask your school administrator. Once you have logged in, you will be redirected to a calendar page. From that page, you may select any date that you wish to sign out your equipment on by clicking on that date. When the popup opens, select the equipment type you want to sign out and press continue. You will be given a table of periods throughout the day, each with a list of available equipment of the type you specified and whether or not a staff member has signed out that piece of equipment. Simply click "Sign This Out" next to the piece of equipment that you wish to sign out under the appropriate period. It's that easy! If you want to sign in something, simply click on "Equipment Signed Out" on the black navigation bar at the top and click "Sign This In" next to the appropriate piece of equipment.
Before you use EMAS, make sure you disable any pop-up blockers that you may be using. If you are not sure how, check your internet browser's help manual.
